New Cannabis Seeds from SickMeds Seeds

Feb 07, 17 New Cannabis Seeds from SickMeds Seeds

This month, we’re delighted to welcome a whole host of new cannabis seeds from SickMeds Seeds. From strains that were once listed as unavailable, to brand new seeds cultivated for medicinal purposes, to clone-only specimens, SickMeds has built up a bulging catalogue that it is our sheer pleasure to be able to share.

The seed engineers and breeders at SickMeds Seeds have a clear mission statement: they want to share with the cannabis community a whole shed-load of seed genetics that were, before SickMeds came along, difficult to get hold of. As keen growers themselves, the SickMeds guys have left no stone unturned in their quest to unearth the forgotten strains that make up the building blocks of modern day cannabis culture. This meticulous and obsessive approach has certainly borne fruit – thanks to their ongoing quest, old seed lines have been reinstated and made commercially available for all to enjoy.

Quality and uniformity are fundamental in the SickMeds approach. The team is currently working in conjunction with cannabis laboratories and research centres with the end-goal of developing brand new cannabis seeds from SickMeds Seeds with a clear view from the outset of exactly what each parent plant will bring to the mix. Until these new strains are released (and we await them eagerly!) there are loads of other great new cannabis seeds from SickMeds Seeds to browse in our online cannabis seed shop.

SickMeds Seeds Bizarre

Bizarre: beautiful and bewitching – a brilliant buzz.

No welcome page would be complete without a quick run through of some of our favourite offerings from this breeder. First up, we have Chupacabra. This special sativa-dominant hybrid is formed by crossing a The Wreck mother and a male Strawberry Fire which was selected to add an exceptionally high resin yield and an old-school flavour of hash, incense, and Kush. It’s a great all-rounder if ever there was one!

Next, check out the aptly-named Bizarre. This really remarkable hybrid was bred exclusively for its intense reddish-purple colouring and sweet diesel flavour. It’s indica-dominant and is said to have excellent medicinal properties for the treatment of insomnia, nausea, and migraines.

And our personal favourite has to be Green Crack – a plant that demands respect! Originally titled Green Cush, Just Cush or Lillie Coy when it was released as a clone-only, this mango/papaya smelling beauty derives from a ’89 SSSC Skunk #1 crossed with a mysterious Californian Indica. It’s easy to grow and needs barely any attention from its grower, yet it can produce yields of 450 – 500 g/m2 indoors!

So without further delay, head over to the SickMeds area of our site and browse to your heart’s content – and all join hands and shout in unison – ‘Welcome to GYO, SickMeds!’

First on our hit-list is Amnesika 2.0. Not only does it have a cool name – it also ticks all the boxes when it comes to yield, THC levels and explosive growth. Suitable for indoor and outdoor gardens, and with a short flowering period, there’s something here for everyone. It’s made by adding Critical Mass to Amnesia Haze and the result is a sativa-dominant plant that produces an interesting, cerebral and energetic buzz when smoked. We know you’re going to love this one as much as we do!

Philosopher Seeds Amnesika 2.0 Feminized

Amnesika 2.0: the art of the grow.

And what about Early Maroc? This one is a fast-flowering, robust plant that’s a hash-maker’s dream. It’s 100% sativa in its make-up, it stems from Moroccan landrace genetics and it has a THC content of around 17%. It’s not recommended for indoor grows, but is relatively straightforward and easy to grow when cultivated outside in the correct climate. Why not check it out and let us know what you think?

Another of our favourites has to be Gokunk. Here, Somango meets Mazar to create a vigorous, high-yielding plant that can thrive indoors and out. The indica/sativa split is a nicely-balanced 60/40, and the high is relaxing, chilled out and great for relieving stress and tension. It has an incredible fruity and Skunky aroma that’s quite unmistakeable once you get to know it. A seed of the highest order!

Other notable mentions from this breeder include Stilton Auto, Guayita, Naranchup and the remarkable sweet and tasty SugarPop. There are loads of others, too, but there’s simply not enough space to list them all here and we wouldn’t want to waste the time you could spend checking them out for yourself. Dec 09, 16 GYO Welcomes… Mephisto Genetics Seed Bank

Based in Spain, Mephisto Genetics Seed Bank specialises in creating autoflowering cannabis varieties of the very highest calibre.

For more than a decade, the master breeders at Mephisto Genetics Seed Bank have been experimenting with various seed engineering and cultivating methods in a quest to produce plants with the strongest, most desirable traits possible. Their products are derived from a variety of sources from around the world, all of which are handled with the utmost respect and care necessary to create new varieties that are unmatched by any other. With this in mind, they have amassed a comprehensive knowledge of the genes they utilise and that expert knowledge is evident in every strain they produce.

Each and every Mephisto Genetics Seed Bank seed is a product of cross breeding not simply from Auto to Auto strain, but rather through a complex network that spans generations of regular, non-autoflowering strains. They strive to create brand new F1 automatic seeds without taking any shortcuts that could compromise quality or reliability.

Of course, with so many autoflowering seed breeders fighting for shelf space in an increasing saturated market, it can be difficult to work out which seeds will produce the most desirable yields and provide the best quality. The great news is that our friends at Mephisto Genetics Seed Bank know their customers have a broad range of requirements and, for this reason, really go the extra mile when it comes to earning their patrons’ respect and loyalty. This is achieved through an exhaustive process of persistence and experimentation with the end result being a product base you’ll be delighted to grow, use and return to again and again.

GYO Welcomes… T.H. Seeds Seed Bank

Dec 09, 16 GYO Welcomes… T.H. Seeds Seed Bank

From day one, the breeders at T.H. Seeds Seed Bank have placed themselves and their company at the cutting edge of new school cannabis genetics. With a mission statement striving to bring the best American genetics to Holland, these guys have won more awards that you could shake a spliff at! This month’s New Breeder spotlight shines brightly on a seed manufacturer of the very highest order…

Born in those halcyon days of yore when almost every cannabis strain in Amsterdam was derived from a mix of Northern Lights, Skunk and Shiva in various proportions, T.H. Seeds Seed Bank has worked long and hard to bring new stable varieties onto the market. For those who missed the memo, this is the company responsible for bringing the original Bubblegum over from the States, and was the first to make Bubblegum seeds available to an ever-expanding market of cannabis cultivators, collectors, and connoisseurs. Since then, the very same Bubblegum genetics have helped many different coffeeshops win numerous highly coveted High Times Cannabis Cups.

But that’s only the beginning of the story. Following their success with the aforementioned strain, TH Seeds Seed Bank brought the acronym-lover’s delight that is S.A.G.E. (Sativa Afghani Genetic Equilibrium) directly to Holland from the sunny climes of central California. This ripper scored 3rd (1998), and 2nd (1999) in the High Times Cannabis Cup for the highest THC variety with recorded levels of over 20%! This THC ranking was higher than any of the Coffeeshop or Seed Company Cannabis Cup winners and placed T.H. Seeds Seed Bank at the epicentre of quality seed engineering. Since then, they’ve had similar successes with numerous other varieties that GYO Seedbank is proud to present for your browsing pleasure.

There are so many top-notch seeds available that we can’t list them all here, but we recommend that you check out Burmese Kush and MK Ultra Kush. The former is a quick-flowering hybrid that reaches about a metre in height and can produce yields of over 400 g/m2. The latter is an ultra-potent ‘Super Indica’ specimen that’s an absolute joy to grow – and, come harvest time, the results speak for themselves.

But don’t just take our word for it – head over to our online shop and take a look!
